Paul Hansfield obtained his undergraduate degree
(1951) and his law degree (1982) from DePaul University. He began
his professional career as a CPA in 1953 and practiced as an
accountant and corporate developer. Prior to engaging in the
practice of law, he was instrumental in organizing, re-structuring
and managing food processing companies. As a result of his
accounting background and business development experience, he has
concentrated his practice in commercial law, corporate planning, creditor bankruptcy, accounting issues and accounting malpractice.
In addition, he has developed a concentration in the field of
construction law, mechanic's liens and employment law. He serves as
an arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association and is active
in speaking to trade associations on issues relating to construction
contracts.
