
K. Shaylan Baldwin earned his bachelor of arts degree in Sociology from DePaul University Chicago in 1997, graduating with honors. After receiving his law degree from the Loyola University Chicago School of Law in 2000, Mr. Baldwin joined a boutique Chicago law firm where he focused on real estate transactions of all types, including land acquisitions and dispositions, leasing, and Section 1031 tax deferred exchanges. Mr. Baldwin also has extensive experience in transactions involving the evaluation, purchase, sale, lease, and operation of agricultural property and oil and gas interests. Since joining Fuchs & Roselli, Ltd., he continues to focus his practice on real estate transactions including office, industrial, retail, multi-tenant residential, construction, sale, leasing, financing, and ownership and investment. His experience includes the representation of developers of commercial real estate projects, institutional lenders and borrowers in transactions nationwide, and landlords and tenants in all types of commercial leasing. In January of 2008, Mr. Baldwin earned his Master of Laws in Real Estate Degree from The John Marshall Law School, graduating with honors. Mr. Baldwin has achieved a Martindale-Hubbell AVĀ® rating (very high to preeminent) among his peers for legal ability, professional reliability, diligence and ethics, and a Preeminent Rating of same among his clients. Mr. Baldwin serves on the Chicago Bar Association Real Property Committee, is a member of the Chicago Real Estate Council, is a Board Member of Global Citizenship Experience Foundation, and he is currently working towards the Green Building Certification Institute's LEEDĀ® Green Associate designation.
