
Richard C. Perna has extensive experience in all aspects of commercial dispute resolution. His practice involves the trial, mediation, arbitration and workout of disputes involving individuals, corporations and institutions. After graduating, cum laude, from St. Mary’s University, Winona Minnesota in 1983 with a degree in Environmental Biology, he went on to obtain his law degree in 1986 from Hamline University, St. Paul, Minnesota. Before joining Fuchs & Roselli, Ltd., Richard was associated with a large Chicago law firm focusing his practice in commercial litigation and trial law.
Presently, Richard’s practice includes, among other areas, loan workout and foreclosure for both Lenders and Borrowers, the appointment and representation of receivers and assignees in business and foreclosure actions, the representation of real estate brokers and agents in commission and professional liability disputes, mechanics lien and construction disputes, shareholder, member and partner disputes, employment disputes, disputes among corporations involving the improper use of trade secrets and confidential information, special remedies and bankruptcy. Richard acts as trial counsel in all areas of commercial litigation. Richard’s work has also afforded him the opportunity to orally argue appeals before state and federal appellate courts. Richard has been admitted to the Federal Trial Bar of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, the U.S. District Court for the Central District of Illinois and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.
Richard is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute and the Turnaround Management Association.
