James B. Toohey graduated magna cum laude from
Gannon University in Erie, Pennsylvania in 1992 with a degree in
Communications/English. After teaching English at the collegiate and
secondary levels and also serving as a head high school basketball
coach in Pennsylvania, he shifted career directions and obtained a
law degree from Loyola University Chicago in 2000. While at Loyola,
he served as an executive editor of the law review and also received
Cali awards (highest grade) in both legal writing and trial
practice. After spending his first three years after law school as
an associate at a large Chicago law firm, Mr. Toohey established his
own practice in real estate at the Law Offices of James B. Toohey
P.C. Since joining Fuchs & Roselli, Ltd., he continues to focus his
practice on real estate transactions, including commercial,
industrial, multi-tenant residential, condominium conversions and
commercial leasing. Mr. Toohey is a member of the Illinois State Bar
Association and Chicago Bar Association and participates in the real
property divisions for each organization.
